Hunting weapons produced by Azerbaijan to put up for sale in mid-2011

Hunting weapons produced by Azerbaijan will be presented to local market in the middle of next year, military source said.

According to the information, at first, hunting weapons are to be produced at plant of Defense Industry Ministry, and are considered for local market sales. Export of hunting weapons will be realized during the next period. Primarily, 12 and 16 caliber weapons will be produced in the country. Weapons will be prepared in different designs.

Currently, cartridges of different caliber, as well as 16 caliber cartridge which production has been stopped in Russia are produced by the ministry. Local cartridge production has impacted on cheapening of price of 16 caliber cartridge in market. Note that, recently, Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov said preparatory works related to production of hunting weapons were underway.
