Azerbaijan updates record of monthly gold output

Azerbaijan's gold output totaled 1,200 kilograms in January-August 2010, according to the State Statistical Committee. The gold output was 273 kilograms (record rate for a month) in August compared to 140 kg in July, 222 in June, 153 kg in May, 200 kg in April, 125 kg in March, 97 kg in February and 98 kg in January 2010.

Azerbaijan produced 333 kilograms of gold from July 2009 till January 1, 2010. The country has produced 1,533 kg of gold so far.
