1,264 tankers loaded with oil at Ceyhan terminal

Botaş International Limited, operating the Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi–Ceyhan oil pipeline, has unveiled the total amount of crude transported. Botaş dispatched 1264 tankers with oil from the Ceyhan terminal between June 2, 2006 and September 3, 2010. BTC has shipped 992 million barrels of crude since its commissioning.

The BTC pipeline is owned by a consortium of energy companies and BP, the operator of the pipeline. The shareholders of the consortium are: BP (30.1%), AzBTC (25%), Chevron (8.90%), StatoilHydro (8.71%), TPAO (6.53%), Eni (5%), Total (5%), ITOCHU (3.40%), Inpex (2.50%), ConocoPhillips (2.50%), Hess Corporation (2.36%).
