Azerbaijan's transport minister, SOCAR president visit Georgia

Azerbaijan's Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov and SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev visited Georgia on August 30.
Here, they met Georgian Premier Nikoloz Gilauri and Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri.

Following the meetings Ziya Mammadov told journalists that the ongoing work on construction of the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway was satisfactory. He noted President Ilham Aliyev attaches great importance to carrying out the construction work rapidly, and “we try to use all opportunities to fulfill the Head of State's relevant instructions”.

Mammadov pointed out taking into account the course of the construction, “we can say that it will be completed till late 2011”.

As part of the visit Ziya Mammadov and Rovnag Abdullayev participated in presentation of the project on reconstruction of Azerbaijan Culture Museum named after Mirza Fatali Akhundzade.

Mammadov also became familiar with the ongoing work of the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway.

Rovnag Abdullayev attended the inauguration of a petrol station in Gizilhajili village of Marneuli region.
