SOCAR Georgia Petroleum has opened a new petrol station under SOCAR brand in the Gizilhajili village of Georgia's Marneuli region, mainly populated by Azerbaijanis, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) said.

Thus, number of SOCAR petrol stations in Georgia has reached 46.
SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, Head of SOCAR Investment Department Vagif Aliyev and Head of SOCAR Energy Georgia Mahir Mammadov attended the opening of the petrol station. Other officials and public representatives were also present.
SOCAR plans to increase the number of petrol stations in Georgia up to 60 by year-end.
Co-founders of SOCAR Energy Georgia are SOCAR - 51 percent, Petro-Trans FZCO - 24,5 percent and Ivan Chkhartishvili - 24,5 percent.
