Azerbaijan Railways to hold business forum

CJSC Azerbaijan Railways is preparing to celebrate 1the 130th anniversary and conduct a business forum" Strategic partnership 1520 ", the company reported. Both events will be held in Baku Oct.12-13.

Construction of the first 20-kilometer railway was started under the project, approved by the Ministers Committee with participation of Russian Emperor Alexander II in connection with the development of the oil industry. The road construction was entrusted  to Rail Society "Poti-Tbilisi".

The railway was commissioned on January 20, 1880.
