SOCAR introduces new vice president for strategic development in solemn ceremony

SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev told about the company's successes in recent years, the achievements and social, economic and ecological projects implemented by the company.

He also spoke about large-scale events planned for the near future, stressing the importance of strategic development at the new stage.

Abdullayev said the Azerbaijani president issued a decision to create position of vice president for strategic development in the Board of SOCAR.

According to the President's order of July 2, 2010, Tofig Gahramanov was appointed to this position.

Abdullayev said that Department of Information Technologies has also been lunched in SOCAR's main office with Ilham Aslanov being appointed the department head.

Also, according to SOCAR president, Azer Ahmadzade was appointed head of the Marketing and Economic Operations Department.

Newly appointed SOCAR Vice President Tofig Gahramanov expressed gratitude to the leadership of the country for their confidence and said that he will justify it during his activity.

Tofig Gahramanov have previously held senior positions in SOCAR.
