
A fire that occurred on the central warehouse of Bos Shelf at 19.05 (Baku time) on Sunday was extinguished by two o'clock in the night and was completely eliminated by six o'clock Monday morning. The fire did not leave any injured, a source in the enterprise reported.
According to preliminary version, a fire most likely occured for technical reasons, as no one was in the facility at that time.
"The fire did not impact realization of oil and gas construction projects by Bos Shelf," the source said.
A task force is working at the scene at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Deep Water Jacket Factory to clarify reasons of the incident.
All fire fighting equipment on construction sites of the enterprise will also be inspected.
Bos Shelf is a contractor for BP to build the base blocks and bottom plates under the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli project. The company has built six base units under the project and is going to build another unit.
