Central Bank of Azerbaijan suspends operation of "LEADER" money transfer system

While monitoring the international money transfer systems the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic found out that money transfers had been made via "LEADER" system to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

The Central Bank told APA, that despite the warnings of Azerbaijan’s Central Bank, the "LEADER" money transfer system continued operating in the occupied territories. Taking this into account, the Central Bank gave instructions to all the banks operating in Azerbaijan to suspend business relations with this system from June 11, 2010.
