The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) commissioned its first three filling stations in Baku- on the highway leading to the Baku International Airport named after Heydar Aliyev, Zig highway and Bibi Heybat highway May 7.
The company will commission more nine own brand filling stations by late 2010. So far, SOCAR has put into operation more than 30 petrol stations in Georgia. In 2010, the company plans to commission 30 more units.
The company also develops its activities in the retail market of petroleum products in Ukraine. Currently, SOCAR undertakes rebranding of about 20 gas stations in the country. Sale of petroleum products at these stations is expected to be launched in May.
