Azerbaijan's ambassador to Iran speaks of the trade turnover between the countries

The trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan is currently low, the countries need to expand relations in the sphere of trade, Azerbaijan's ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov said.

"Azerbaijan realizes trade turnover in the amount of $ 20 billion with other countries in a year, while with Iran his figure is only $ 500 million in a year," - he said.

The ambassador said that Azerbaijan is interested in strengthening trade and economic ties with Iran. According to him, the first meeting of Iranian and Azerbaijani investors will be held in May in Baku.
