Azerbaijani food producer fined for antimonopoly law violation

For the first time from the day of its foundation,  the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Rights under the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan has imposed financial sanctions for violation of the Law on Illegal Competition for domestic food producer.

The Ministry reports that Elvan Irmak Qida Mehsullari Ltd was imposed financial sanction worth 60,700 manats for breach of antimonopoly legislation.

The decision was made by the Service in presence of the Firm’s representatives. The facts of violation were revealed in the process of manufacture and sales of biscuits and hardtacks. The Firm used illegally others' trademarks for that.
