Azerbaijan exported 6.8 million tons of oil this year

In Jan-Mar 2010, share of crude oil in country’s overall export totaled 84.61% with 85.84% rise against Jan-Mar 2009.
In 2009, the share of crude oil in exports made 81.57% with decline of 72.86%.

The State Customs Committee (SCC) informs that in Jan-Mar 2010 the country exported 6.85 million tons of crude worth  $3.815 bn versus 27.829 million tons worth $11.989 million in 2009.

This March crude oil export totaled 1.95 million tons worth $1.075 bn versus 2.6 million tons worth $1.475 bn in February and 2.265 million tons worth $1.26 bn in January of the year.

For Jan-Mar 2010, as well as in 2009, Department of Marketing and Economic Operations of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported the whole volume of crude oil, while Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) did not carry out any export.
