Azerbaijan to hold second international insurance forum

The 2nd Azerbaijan International Insurance Forum, organized by the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan with the support of the Ministry of Finance, will be held in Baku in July, executive director of the Association Gafar Majidov said.

"The decision to conduct the forum was made at a regular meeting of the supervisory board of the Association," said Majidov.

According to him, the Association intends to launch preparations for the forum soon, which will be attended by both local and foreign guests.

The 1st Azerbaijan International Insurance Forum was held in Baku on 10-11 July 2008 and was devoted to tendencies of development on the insurance market of Azerbaijan, impact of experience of insurance market of European countries on development of insurance sector in Azerbaijan, development of life insurance, analysis of the insurance market in the country as part of the country's financial system and corporate governance in insurance.
