Korean transport minister to discuss infrastructure projects in Baku

Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs of Korea Chung Jong-Kwan will visit Baku on March 10-12, the ambassador of Korea to Azerbaijan Lee Ji-Ha briefed the media on March 4.
During the visit, it is expected to discuss the participation of Korean companies in the construction of Guba-Shamakhi highway, in the construction of a bridge in the Baku Bay and other projects, said Lee Ji-Ha.

At present, Azerbaijan is closely cooperating with Korean companies in the transport sector. In particular, Azerbaijan regularly buys passenger buses from the Korean Daewoo Company.

Also, Korean companies are involved in the process of drafting building of a bridge over Baku bay, in the creation of intellectual transport management systems in Baku.

The Korean side has also submitted its proposals to increase the speed of trains in the western direction - Baku - Georgian border.
