EBRD eyes $220 million for Azerbaijan's non-oil sector

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is planning to fund $220 million worth of 12 projects in Azerbaijan in the fields of natural resources, telecommunication, agriculture and finance.
The EBRD places high priority on non-oil sector including agriculture.

The EBRD extended $260 million to realize 9 projects in 2009 in Azerbaijan.

EBRD President Thomas Mirow is expected to start his South Caucasus tour with Azerbaijan to discuss the bank`s future operations in the country.
