Azerbaijan gains right to export black caviar to EU states

The Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan said that the European Commission’s Directorate General for Health and Consumers have added Azerbaijan to the list of third countries to export fish caviar to the EU member states.

“The relevant decision was put into force since 1 January 2010,” the ministry said.

Quality certificates for export of caviar will be issued after products are checked by the State Service for Consumer Protection and Competition Policy at the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani caviar export to the EU will allow raising country’s export potential and boost fish-breeding,one of the important areas of domestic economy.
