Azerbaijan has created favorable conditions for foreign investors' activities and has great business opportunities, the British Co-Chair of the Azerbaijan-UK Business Council Lord Howell said at the meeting of the council in London.

Howell said the relations between the two countries have been recently expanded in all fields and noted that the council will contribute to closer bilateral economic and trade relations, the Foreign Ministry said.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Jahangir Hajiyev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to UK Fakhraddin Gurbanov, British Co-Chair of the Council Lord Howell, Director of the Council Michael Thomas, members of the British House of Lords and an official of the British Foreign Ministry, as well as representatives of different companies.
Hajiyev made a report about the recent achievements in the Azerbaijani economy and said that the newly founded Council aims to more expand the trade and economic relations between the two countries.
Representatives of the some British leading companies and business institutions put forward proposals and exchanged opinions concerning potential projects.
The participants of the meeting stated that the council's activity will intensify economic activity between the two countries.
