Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR), which possesses 23 gas distribution companies in Georgia through its subsidiary SOCAR Georgia Gas, has launched a gas pipeline in Dmanisi, Georgia after major overhaul.

The new pipeline will supply gas to Dmanisi region and its villages, SOCAR chief Rovnag Abdullayev said.
“This year the company will invest $20 million in Georgia in construction of gas distribution grid with a total length of 800 kilometers,” Abdullayev said adding that it will enable to deliver gas to 57,000 consumers,” Interfax quoted Abdullayev as saying.
