In January to July 2009, Armenia’s GDP dropped 18.5 percent compared to the same period of 2008.

This is the worst indicator among CIS member states. GDP drop in Georgia was 5.9 percent, Kazakhstan – 3.9 percent and Moldova – 6.9 percent.
Uzbekistan’s GDP rose 8.2 percent, Tajikistan’s GDP 3.1 percent, Azerbaijan’s GDP 2.7 percent, Kyrgyzstan GDP 1.5 percent and Belarus 0.4 percent.
GDP drop in CIS averaged 9 percent in January-July 2009 compared to the same period of 2008.
