U.S. special envoy to mull energy issues in Baku

U.S. Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Richard Morningstar will debate the U.S. support for Azerbaijan in terms of development of diversified routes for oil and gas supply from the region to European and global markets in Baku on Aug. 27, the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan said.
During one-day visit, Morningstar will meet with senior government and private sector representatives.  

He visited Kazakhstan earlier this week as part of his regional trip.

In spring 2009, the U.S. Secretary of State appointed Morningstar Special Envoy on development of energy resources and their transit.
