Unstable weather conditions affect Azerbaijan’s grain harvest

The recent unstable weather conditions have affected Azerbaijan’s grain harvest, Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry official Sabir Valiyev said.
It has delayed completion of grain harvest which is expected to end in early September, Valiyev said.

He said 99.6 percent of grain has been harvested.
Grain in some mountainous regions has not been harvested yet.

The total area of the upcoming harvest is 1.78 million hectares, 810,000 hectares of which have been planted with grain. The Agriculture Ministry plans to achieve a record high harvest of  grain and legume-cereal crops, that is, 3 million tons.
