Stars of some Azerbaijan-based hotels to be withdrawn

The minister said the stars of some hotels will be withdrawn, because they fail to offer high-quality service.

“We can not speak of downgrading of stars in Azerbaijan-based hotels, as we do not have such an example. All of the hotels that received stars realized this responsibility and want to offer service in line with these stars. Some hotels were granted license, but their service was not successful. We will probably withdraw stars of several hotels,” he said.

Abulfas Garayev said the prices were not changed in the hotels in the capital. On the contrary, prices reduced by 15-20 percent in some hotels in the regions.

“We always say that the more offers are in the market, the better the competition atmosphere is. Compared with last year, the prices fell by 15-20 percent in the regions. We will able to speak with the exact figures when the outcomes of summer are prepared,” he said.
