About 280 state-owned enterprises, small facilities privatized in Azerbaijan

As part of the second state program on state-owned property privatization, the privatization of state property was accelerated.

Along with the privatization of some 280 small state enterprises and facilities, 270 land plots under enterprises and facilities were privatized in 2009.

In addition, 30 auctions were held to privatize shares of about 30 joint stock companies in various regions of the country.

In January-July 2009,30 million manats were invested in enterprises privatized via investment competition.

Overall, 430 million manats were invested in 82 enterprises privatized via investment tenders till August 1, 2009.
