Azerbaijan only CIS country with growth in commercial production

Ukraine accounts for the largest drop – 3.1 percent. Moldova saw drop of 31.9 percent and Kyrgyzstan 20.2 percent.

Russia ranks fourth for rate of drop at 15.4 percent.

Commercial production in Tajikistan shrank 13 percent, 10.5 percent in Armenia, 4.6 percent in Kazakhstan and 3.4 percent in Belarus.

CIS commercial production reduced 16 percent compared to the same period of 2008 on average. The commercial production in Georgia, which is undergoing procedures of withdrawal from CIS, does not show any signs of growth either. This is the same case with Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.


GDP dropped 9 percent in CIS member states on average.
