Azerbaijan should hold "hidden" analysis and compile a list of companies in need of state support, said Ali Masimli, deputy and member of the standing parliamentary commission on economic policy speaking about the proposals on nationalization of large companies.
According to him Azerbaijan has no large corporations, closely integrated with the world economy, whose shares were "terminated" by cataclysms, caused by the crisis.

"Therefore, in the framework of the anti-crisis program, the state can extend assistance to separate economic sectors that suffered from crisis more. In particular, the construction sector and labor market is implied. We are observing the investors in the countries saving their funds and limiting their activity for a time period and further reducing the staff. Therefore, here the state interference is important to regulate the situation, as Azerbaijan has large spheres, which can completely fail due to crisis".

He stated the need to hold "secret" analysis and compile a list of companies in need of state support in order to get an image of the situation.

"The anticrisis assistance of the state must be aimed not at all companies, only on those, that are of great important for the future of the country. The mechanism of state support to the companies must be transparent to avert possible "biased" use.

Thus, due to the crisis the construction sector of Azerbaijan experiences serious pressure. The purchasing capacity of the population is declining. Companies are not able to sell a greater part of flats in new buildings. In order to settle this problem the state can purchase a part of these flats and then sell it to the population by appropriate prices or allocate for long term loans. Thus, the state may play an important role in eliminating implications of the crisis in the construction sector. It all must be fixed in the new code of residence, approved for discussion at the plenary session of the parliament.

He noted that the world financial crisis is deepening and this year the damaging power of crisis will strengthen. The negative influence of the crisis on Azerbaijan's economy will be more significant in the sectors that are integrated with the world economy more than others.
