President of Azerbaijan attends opening of Icheri Sheher underground station

Thus, the ceremony was attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The head of the state was informed about the work, conducted at the station.

It should be noted that the delay in the resumption of work of the reconstructed station was connected with the August events in Georgia, which caused a delay in the supply of equipment and building materials.

Constructions and materials from different countries including Israel, Germany and Italy, were supplied for reconstruction of the Icheri Sheher metro station.
