Azerbaijan's participation to convention on international railway transportations discussed in Baku

A two day seminar of the OTIF members on "International conventions in the sphere of railway transport, membership in OTIF and COTIF regimes", said the press service for the Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan.

The seminar involves a delegation of OTIF, including secretary general Stephan Schimming, deputy secretary general Gustav Kafka, adviser of secretary general Eve Hammershmidova, as well as adviser of the International Railway Committee Erik Evtimov.

The aim of the seminar to finish on December 17 is the discussion of participation of Azerbaijan to the convention on the international railway transportations (COTIF), issues on country's accession to OTIF and others.

Deputy Transport Minister of Azerbaijan Musa Panakhov noted that the seminar will help implement transport corridors, passing Azerbaijan, in particular, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.

The seminar is attended by officials of the Ministries of Transport, the Foreign Affairs, Economic Development, finances, State Customs Committee, State Frontier Service, Azerbaijan State Railroad and Cabinet of Ministers.
