$1 bln to be invested into electricity and gas distribution spheres of Azerbaijan

$1 bln will be invested into the electricity and gas distribution sectors of Azerbaijan in the framework of the program of Central-Asian regional cooperation by 2017, said vice president of Asian Development Bank Siaoyu Zhao.
He said investments will be primarily used for improvement of the energy distribution lines, communicating Azerbaijan with Russia and Georgia and improvement of gas distribution lines and the economic use of its reserve.

ADB vice president noted that the said volume of investments is envisioned in the strategy on the CAREC economic cooperation.
