"By 2012 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan will build an oil refinery of a capacity of 200,000 barrels per day in Turkish Aliagha city", said SOCAR vice president Davud Mamedov at a Baku meeting with a delegation of entrepreneurs from Aliagha at a meeting in Baku.

He said the company invests for Petkim to turn into the a large producer on the world market. He also announced that bureau on the sales of Petkim production will open in 5-6 places in Turkey.
It should be noted that SOCAR-Tuscas-Injaz (Azerbaijan-Turkey-Saudi Arabia) holds 51% shares of Petkim. The alliance plans to invest $5 bln to raise its market share to 40% and increase the producing capacity by 2015.
