"Russia is the biggest consumer of Azerbaijani non-primary goods", said Russian trade representative in Azerbaijan Yuri Shedrin at a press conference today.
He said the Azerbaijani foodstuffs and agricultural production export in Russia made 78.5% of the total volume. Shedrin noted that the main exported goods are: fat and vegetable oil and their fractions, sugar and net saccarosio, nut, black tea, fruit and vegetable juices and so on.
"Moreover, the exports to Russia include: chemical production, compressor pipes, cotton fiber, cotton. Oil coke supply have risen by 33% as compared to the same period of 2007 (64,800 tons in the amount of $3.9 mln", noted the the Russian trade representative.
Shedrin announced that the nomenclature of the Russian-Azerbaijani commodity made 1,610 kinds of products in January-September of this year.
