Oil production from Central Azeri to resume by late 2008

Oil production at the Central Azeri platform of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli bloc to resume by the end of the year, said SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev (SOCAR, owns 10% in the project).
He said the proposal on the influence of an underground volcano on the appearance of gas in the field has not been confirmed. But the work to reveal causes continue, though communications have already been connected.

Oil production from the platform was suspended on September 17 of 2008.
