US Secretary of Energy Department: "Conduction of an energy summit in Baku is already a success"

He said with reference to  US vice president Dick Cheney, who arrived in Baku in September that the United States is interested in the peace in Azerbaijan and other countries to attend the energy summit. He said this principle is based on single interests, which the countries share. At the same time, the US representative voiced hope that the summit will give definite results.

"We respect the policy of diversification of energy routes. We support the projects, implemented by the suppliers, transiters and consumers of energy sources, that may contribute to the global system of energy security", said he.

At the same time, Bodman noted that the United States do not use the energy sources of the Caspian Sea, but these energy sources play a role in provision of energy security of Europe, which is very important for the United States,

"We appreciate the role of Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev in these issues and his plans for future are important", said he.
