Rovnag Abdullayev: "Azerbaijan takes an active part in ensuring energy security of Europe"

Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for SOCAR that Abdullayev voiced confidence that the US-Azerbaijani relations will further develop under new administration of the White House.

Informing about the latest achievements of Azerbaijan in the oil and gas industry and regional energy projects, Abdullayev especially stressed support of this process from the US side.

He noted that Azerbaijan takes an active part in the issue of ensuring energy security of Europe.

In turn, Corker highly appreciated the development of the oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan and diversification of export routes of energy sources.

He said the United states attach special importance to Azerbaijan's role as a country, transiting hydrocarbon reserves of the Caspian region to the world markets. The sides also exchanged views on energy issues during the meeting.
