Annual inflation rate tops 27% in Azerbaijan

Consumer Price Index rose 1.22 percent in Azerbaijan, including 0.42 percent in Baku and 2.01 percent in regions during October, according to the Economic Research Center’s report based on the Alternative Inflation Methodology Development Project.

The report is based on surveys on goods and services in 11 regions of the country.

According to the report, the price rise was 1.29 percent in foodstuffs, 1.46 percent in nonfoods and 0.74 percent in services.

Inflation rate rose 18.85 percent for January-October and 27.02 percent from a year earlier.
