SOCAR vice president receives EU energy commissioner

SOCAR vice president on investments and marketing Elshad Nasirov received EU commissioner on energy Andris Piebalgas.
Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for SOCAR that Nasirov informed the visitor about Azerbaijan's latest achievements in implementation of energy projects.

In turn, Piebalgs stressed Azerbaijan's importance in ensuring energy security of Europe. The sides discussed definite aspects of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of energy and exchanged views on the directions of future cooperation.

It should be noted that Piebalgs visited Turkey to discuss issues of transportation of Azerbaijani gas in Europe by the Turkey-Greece-Italy pipeline and construction of Nabucco pipeline.
