US Commerce Deputy Secretary: "SOCAR has gained wide influence throughout the world"

Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for SOCAR that during the meeting Abdullayev stressed successful implementation of Azerbaijan's oil strategy and significant role of the United States in the support of the implemented projects.

Noting that the repair of the Baku-Supsa pipeline had been completed recently, Abdullayev said that this pipeline along with Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzirum contributes to the diversification of routes of Caspian energy sources transportation.

He noted that Azerbaijan is considering different routes for transportation of gas to Europe and is ready to provide its transport infrastructure for the Caspian States to transit hydrocarbon reserves to the West.

In turn, Sullivan highly appreciated the recent achievements of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and noted that the company gained a wide influence throughout the world. He said Azerbaijan plays a significant role in ensuring Europe's energy security. He noted that the United States will support the projects implemented in this sphere.
