As of September 1 of this year the overall volume of credit investments in Azerbaijani economy made up AZN 6,450,000,000.

The press service for the National Bank of Azerbaijan told Day.Az that as compared to August this indicator has grown by 1.5% and as compared to September of 2007 by 80.7%.
Of this amount AZN 122,900,000 of credit investments fell on the defaulted loan. Short-term loans made AZN 1,979,800,000 (30.7%) and long-term loans made AZN 4,475,200,000 (69.3%).
Through the reported period the state banks extended loans of AZN 2,800,600,000 (43.4%) to the economy, private banks issued AZN 3,494,600,000 (54.1%), non-banking credit organizations - AZN 159,800,000 (2.5%).
The banks, created with participation of foreign capital, invested AZN 1,980,300,000 to the country's economy. This indicator is 30.7% of the overall volume of loans.
Banks with 100% foreign capital invested AZN 315,600,000 (4.9%). AZN 3,526,200,000 or 54.6% of credit investments were made in national currency and AZN 2,928,800,000 or 45.4% in foreign currency.
