Azerbaijan represented in international microinsurance conference

The press service for the Finance Ministry of Azerbaijan told Day.Az that about 70 representatives from 35 countries took part in the conference.

During the event Azerbaijan was represented by chief consultant of the department of insurance control under the Ministry of Finance Zeka Mirzoyev. He held interactive discussions with representatives of the World Bank, World Labor Organization, China, India, SAR and Phillippines.

It should be noted that the study and application of microinsurance is urgent for Azerbaijan for settling the problems of provision of insurance services to poor people, raising competitiveness of the insurance sector and diversification of financial services. Currently, microfinancing is regarded as one of the financial services, allowing to manage the risks of poor families.
