Azerbaijan-German business-forum may bring new investments to Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani-German business-forum, held in Baku, will open new opportunities for German investments, especially Baden-Wurttemberg in Azerbaijan, said Mikail Jabbarov, deputy Economic Development Minister of Azerbaijan at the forum opening.
He said Azerbaijan's economy is of great interest for foreign investments. Thus, through the past three years the country's GDP rose by over 2 times, the non-oil sector growth rates in the GDP structure were 11%.

"The priority trends of our economic policy are the development of the non-oil sector, economy diversification and its stable development. Creation of "a single window" for establishing a business in the country, as well as application of an e-system for tax payment facilitate the activity of entrepreneurs", noted Jabbarov.

Head of the German delegation, deputy Economic minister of Baden-Wurttemberg Hans Freudenberg said in his speech that future markets, including Central Asia, Caspian states, where successful business is possible, are of great interest for small and middle German entrepreneurs. The German delegation includes representatives of 11 companies in the sphere of construction, aviation, medicine and light industry.

The businessmen of the two countries will meet in the framework of the forum. Azerbaijan will be represented by about 300 businessmen.

Baden-Wurttemberg is a German land with strong economy, where such famous companies as Daimler, Bosch and Porche are functioning.
