Gas leakage results in evacuation of personnel from one of Azerbaijani platforms in the Caspian Sea

Gas leakage occurred today at the Central Azeri platform, owned by BP-Azerbaijan. In the result, the personnel was completely evacuated from the platform, reports Day.Az with reference to ANS-Press.
As is reported, spokeswomen for BP-Azerbaijan Tamam Bayatli confirmed the fact of the gas leakage and personnel evacuation.

She said the evacuation was carried out for security purpose and there are no casualties among workers. She also noted that the platform operation has been temporarily suspended.

Reports say that experts are working at the platform to study the reasons of the situation.
