VAT rate likely to be reduced in Azerbaijan

He said it is promoted by the current economic potential of the control, level of control over the budget expenses and other factors.

"Perhaps, VAT rate reduction will occur in 2009, and the government is currently holding discussions on this issue", noted Mamedov.

He said the Ministry intends to propose a number of serious administrative amendments to the Tax Code, including for facilitation of tax statements compiling.
