Azerbaijan's National Bank likely to permit Vneshtorgbank to purchase local bank

"We hope that it will occur soon. We have recently held consultations with chairman of the bank's board Andrei Kostin, who said the decision to shutdown the affiliate of the Saving Bank of Armenia in Khankendi, has already been taken", said he.

According to Rustamov, the technical process of the affiliate shutdown is going on and the full information about the affiliate shutdown in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan will be provided in October. After that the central bank may give permission for the purchase.
