President of Azerbaijan: "Expansion of financial potential opened new opportunities for development of agrarian sector in Azerbaijan"

"I hope that the third session of high-ranking officials of the Organization for Economic Cooperation in Agriculture and the fourth session of the agricultural ministers of the organization member-states will strengthen mutual cooperation and will also contribute to the region's transformation into a safe zone in the sense of food supply", says the appeal of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev addressed to the participants of the aforementioned sessions, Day.Az reports with reference to the official website of the Azerbaijani president.

The letter says that intensification of the socioeconomic progress in our country, expansion of financial potentials opened new opportunities for development of the agrarian sector.

"Priority trends of the agrarian policy are the growth in agricultural production, modernization of infrastructure in this sphere and reliable supply of food to population", says the report.

President Ilham Aliyev voiced confidence that in the current period when the problem of food security is of global nature, exchange of experience and views regarding the agrarian issues will be of great importance and promote implementation of regional programs, aimed at the settlement of problems, peculiar of agriculture.
