Heydar Babayev: "There are real opportunities for development of Azerbaijani-Hungarian relations"

The press service for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economic Development told Day.Az that during the meeting the sides discussed current economic ties and prospects of bilateral cooperation.

Babayev reminded that in February of 2008 President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited Hungary and signed a number of documents. He informed the visitor about the economic success and achievements of Azerbaijan. Babayev noted that the country's leadership attaches special importance to development of international cooperation. The visitor was also informed that there are real opportunities for developing of Azerbaijani-Hungarian ties in different spheres.

In turn, Szili voiced satisfaction with the visit to Azerbaijan. She said Hungary is interested in developing ties with Azerbaijan in the sphere of energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, as well as Nabucco gas pipeline project implementation.

It was noted at the meeting that the opening of the Hungarian embassy to Azerbaijan in October of this year will play an important role in the development of economic ties.
