Azerbaijan's Ministry of Finance intends to present draft state budget for 2009 to the country's Cabinet of Ministry in the near future.
Country's Finance Minister Samir Sharifov told reporters that like in the previous years the state budget of the country has been developed as a social one.

"There is also a plan to allocate funds for strengthening the defense potential of the country, conducting external policy, implementing program of food security and other events of state concern", said the Minister.

"This year, the oil price is fixed in the amount of $70 per barrel, which helps us be confident about the execution of the state budget", said the Minister.

He said the budget forecasts for 2009 also fix $70 per barrel.
