"Inflation rate in Azerbaijan can not exceed 20% this year", said Economic Development Minister of Azerbaijan Heydar Babayev, according to Day.Az.
"Today different structures give different inflation forecasts on the country but on the whole the indicator ranges between 20% and 23%. But I think this indicator would not exceed 20% annually", said the Minister.
He noted that the drop in oil prices on the world market can lead to fall in prices on the consumer markets, which will further influence the import of inflation to Azerbaijan. "If oil prices remain on the level of $110-115, we will not record sharp price changes on imported goods", concluded he.
