SOCAR Energy Georgia, daughter enterprise of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan is implementing long-term plans of opening of SOCAR brand petrol stations in Georgia.
According to head of SOCAR Energy Georgia Mair Mamedov, the company currently owns 9 SOCAR brand petrol stations in Georgia, which are popular among consumers.
The net will use oil products from Baku by 80% and only high-octane gasoline can be imported from other countries. It will allow raising SOCAR's share on the Georgian market of oil products.
Today, the company occupies 50% of the retail gasoline market in Georgia and 70% of AI-92 gasoline market. SOCAR supplies Georgia with 20,000 tons of oil products a month in average, while gasoline makes 15,000 tons.
