Heydar Babayev holds meeting with Latvian Foreign Minister

Day.Az reports with reference to the internet magazine Baltic states-CIS that during the meeting the sides stressed the development of economic ties and discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation/

It was noted that Azerbaijan and Latvia are successfullt cooperating in such spheres as tourism, information and communication technologies,food industry and finances. According to Rintins, Latvian banks Parex and Aizkraukles are successfully functioning on the financial market of Azerbaijan.

Babayev informed about the economic development of Azerbaijan and implemented energy projects.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani delegation, led by Babayev, attended the second session of the Azerbaijan Latvia intergovernmental commission on economic, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation.

It should be noted that the first session of the intergovernmental commission on economic, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Latvia was held in Baku in March of 2007.
