Russian air company strikes agreement with Azeri Airlines about sale of e-tickets

11 July 2008 [10:27] - TODAY.AZ
Russian S7 Airlines have declared the start of mutual sales of e-tickets for flights of S7 Airlines and foreign aviation partners.
Among these partners there are Azeri Airlines (Azerbaijan), as well as Deutsche Lufthansa (Germany), Scandinavian Airlines System (Sweden, Denmark and Norway).

The e-tickets for all international flights of these aviation companies are registered in the framework of bilateral interline-agreements, previously signed with S7 Airlines.

There have previously been interline-agreements on the mutual recognition of paper air tickets between these aviation companies.

The advantage of the e-ticket is its suitability for transit passengers, who pass from the S7 airlines to the plane of the partner air company.

An e-ticket, stored in an electronic form in a special database of air transporters, can not be forgotten, lost or stolen.

Currently, the passengers of the S7 Airlines are able to buy e-tickets for the flights of 32 Russian and foreign aviation companies. The number of e-interline agreements is planned to be raised up to 45 by the end of 2008.

S7 Airlines is the biggest aviation company on the internal aviation market of Russia and is among top 50 world air transporters.
